"Destination: Port Elizabeth, South Africa. A sometimes comic, frequently searing, and ultimately hopeful coming of age story set during a rain-soaked afternoon in Apartheid South Africa. Two black employees of a tea room practice for a ballroom dancing competition, while their white employers’ son jokes, lectures and eventually lashes out as he leaves childhood behind and struggles to become a man. Fugard’s play is an indictment of the ways we seek to divide and a powerful, deeply moving appeal for a better future". Click on the top image for more details.
